This is my way of connecting with my roots. Being Canadian and Vietnamese, I wanted to share where I come from. I believe in using Canadian ingredients to create something Vietnamese, hand crafted locally. Chilis are integral to Vietnamese cuisine, there is always some form on the table, a meal almost feels incomplete without a little heat. This sauce is how I connect with my Mother, who continues to be an inspiration. My goal is to not only have our chili sauce at our table but at everyone's Phamily table.
Chili Sauce RED | Tương Ớt Đỏ is made by roasting red chilis and cooking it slowly with tomatoes, vinegar and garlic. This gives the sauce a deeper, fragrant, spicy, sweet and acidic flavour. Use Chili Sauce RED as a condiment, add it to soups, sauces, noodles, meat and rice dishes or any recipe that needs a kick.
